Dragon Ball Game Ideas 2.0

 Professor Gohan started the first Thread a few years ago, and since it's way, way, way beyond the bumping territory... I thought I would post a new Thread continuing it, but if you want to read up on the original one, then here you go.

As for new ideas, this one hit me yesterday...

Still keep the main DBZ/GT story, but instead of Kakarrot/Gohan being the main character, it's the players created character. So, you fight Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, the Ginyu Force, Frieza(On Earth too if you choose to), the Artificial Humans/Cyborgs, Cell, Boo, all Movie and GT Villains too.

Your character does all the training Kakarrot and Gohan does all through the series, and even the Fusions we see later. You can even win against Raditz and Cell without dying too. So, kind of a What-If thing but with a created character. After you've defeated the game you can play the main story the way it originally happened with the proper characters, but it's also choice based too so you can choose to be evil at any moment and join the other side, or even be an anti hero too. That's something I feel previous DBZ games should've had for quite a while.

Of course all characters would have every costume they've had all through the series, there would be three versions to them too. 1. The nice and clean version. 2. Battle Damaged. 3. Training Worn, this one will be costumes characters have only won in Training and have been torn up from just that.

That's all I have right now.

 O Oh we totally need minigames. Maybe like a tetris rpg battle. Kind of b a p Pokemon puzzle league vs dragon ball heroes remix. I think that would be a fun fast paced singe player or split screen head to head mode.

Thank you for bringing back the thread. Xenoverse in a much more realistic way? (I think that's how XV is.)

I'm definitely looking for a good what-if story mode like you mentioned. For instance--in the Saiyan arc, you're playing as Goku and you end up fighting not only Great Ape Vegeta... but Nappa as well. I saw that in a XV clip and thought it was cool. I would take out the created character concept completely. A new game with realistic what-ifs would be the bomb.

Are we on the same page?

 Sort of, I love the created character ideas... I just think it could've gone a lot further than how it turned out.

But I do love the idea of a full What-If story mode, that could be a different mode on it's own but shown just as much attention as the main story mode.

 I would love to see more games like xenoverse with its own unique story and new characters along with 5v5 battles and being able to leave slots open so you could do 3v1 and also being able to switch the skills of characters.

And if there gonna make a 1st day edition don't make it Ssj4 Vegeta (I'm still waiting for the dlc :rofl: )

And a thing I would like to see as a sub-saga is a "saiyan conquerers saga" where you play as Vegeta as the main chacacter and I the other two player slots are Raditz and Nappa as the CPU and in this saga it's all the events in between the destruction of planet Vegeta and the final battle of the saga is you as Vegeta vs Goku and after plays the cutsceane of how the battle then pans out. I think this would be cool and as you progress through the story of the saga Vegeta gains skills and moves for you to use personaly I think it would be cool and a way to introduce new characters and maybe something Vegeta did back then could affect the main story of the game
once upon a time there lived a man, this man had all the awensers to every question man made, however he could not speak, when he awoke one morning he found two men discussing a topic he was all too familiar with so as usual he tried to explain the awenser to them, but they just ignored him and carried on at that momment a box came along and told the man:
"If you really want people to hear your ideas even if you are right to cant just tell them they must serch for it, if you like you can live inside me and people can come and ask me there questions and i shall respond with your awensers"
The man nodded and lived inside the box,people constantly consult the box for awensers but sometimes dont believe it,You know what the mans name was:

 Oh here's a funny mechanic! Apparently Whis can manipulate time space from what I hear because, reasons. So why wouldn't we have a little "Ripple in Time" arc. Where you pick a character and they constantly flicker between their different forms. Like Goku, Gohan and Trunks would flip between their Z, Kid, GT and future incarnations of themselves. It would only work for like half a dozen characters, but it would be cool yo see how well you do on the fly.

 Also, big deal for me, what's up with the music for the game? We doing a Faulconer track, doing the Japanese themes, or maybe just keeping the original and dub themesongs with a whole new soundtrack?

The resident GT fan!

 Dragon ball Xenoverse is just an awesome game, I definently want the gameplay for it and it's story (more like it's gonna be a side story). So basically I want Xenoverse with following additions:

-Same music as DBZ Budokai 3.
-It's gonna have 2 stories, the first it's gonna be the original story with some what if, and the second similar to Xenoverse's with more depth, also the movies would be great.
-Bigger roster, and I mean every single character who fought before in the series.
-Make all races have closer stats.

That would be all ^_^ .

 That would be awesome, it would further show how much stronger the player has become.

That's why there should be different modes when playing, like how we discussed in the power balancing thread... you really would feel like you're in the world of Dragon Ball, and I feel that's how it should be.
